  • Over?not yet..huhuhuhu..

    so exams are over..
    i repeat..
    OVER!!

    hahaha..
itz so nice to finally sit back..

    but not for long..
my mum was telling me that shez gonna MAKE(literally) me
revise form 4 this year so that next yr in form 5
i will b able to do well and have good foundation..

form 4 has not been all that smooth..
    haha..
    a few E's, D's here and there..
    but God has been gracious..
and i did OK(i guess) for this exam..

    hmm..
i have been reading up lots of biographies lately
    Martin Luther, Martin Luther King
    Florence Nightingale
    Hudson Taylor, William Carrey
    William Tyndale, David Livingstone..

    and u knw wad?
this has actually kinda motivated me to go
do my degree (diploma or masters)
    in mayb medicine or linguistics
b4 i head off to bible school..

i feel that missionaries today arent as prepared
    as their predecessors..
but that doesnt make them less anointed..
just less privileged, in a sense that
in a world where ppl oni wanna knw wad u can giv,
and if u giv non-Christians the bible all the time
some of them will get pretty fed-up..

the olden days missionaries all had
medical degrees, linguistics degress, math degrees
engineering degrees, most at colleges and institutions if not self-trained...

these people were Pastors, doctors, builders, plumbers, engineers,
    bible translators etc.

it made such a BIG impact..
    look at China..
Hudson Taylor is down to his 4th generation now..
    still in China as missionaries..
    they speak FLUENT Chinese..
knw more Chinese culture den most Chinese do..
and Hudson himself translated the Chinese bible..

    William carey,
    self trained botanist, and linguist..
    He translated God's word in
    lotz of diff indian dialects..

    imagine that..

    so, i tink,
if i want God to use me..
i want Him to use a prepared me..
a me who will b able to use my talents to the fullest..
a me that will b able to serve under all circumstances..

so, i will start my revision..
    tonite..
    i will forgo Criminal Minds,
because, i have a greater calling..
    den being a couch potato..
    Amen?
    hahaha

    God is good,
    All the time
    He is good..

    signing off,
    MarcusDS
